Product Description
The most anticipated story in the blockbuster Dark-Hunter series. The never-before-revealed story of the Dark-Hunter leader, Acheron. He was made human in order to escape death, but in death he was reborn a god. . . Eleven thousand years ago a god was born. Cursed into the body of a human, Acheron spent a lifetime of shame. However, his human death unleashed an unspeakable horror that almost destroyed the earth. Then, brought back against his will, Acheron became the sole defender of mankind. Only it was never that simple. For centuries, he has fought for our survival and hidden a past he’ll do anything to keep concealed. Until a lone woman who refuses to be intimidated by him threatens his very existence. Now his survival, and ours, hinges on hers and old enemies reawaken and unite to kill them both. War has never been more deadly... or more fun.

Great Read August 29, 2008 This book was great! I enjoyed the way she pulled all the aspects of Ash's life together for the reader and then finally allowed him a life.
Slow start August 29, 2008 I ended up enjoying the book, but it began very slowly. The book really floundered through about the 1st half and then began to pick up as it moved toward the end. Glad I read it.
The Best Yet! August 29, 2008 I have enjoyed all of this series and now many questions have been answered. If you are a fan of the dark hunter series you will love this book.
Finally Ash's story August 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Finally Ms. Kenyon delves into Ash's story, the one every reader has been dying for. Acheron doesn't disappoint. With part one detailing his life as a human, the pain, suffering and love he finds had me captivated. Yes it is brutal but the time he lived in was also brutal. Then you have part 2, his time as a dark hunter head and in today's world. You meet favorite characters from past books, new ones as well pop up and give you a glimpse into their hearts and possible upcoming books and Ms. Kenyon delivers a story that has you in its grip.
I read this 700 plus page book within 6 hours, I could not put it down. It was that good. I cried, laughed and cheered as Artie got her comeuppance for a change. Then once the last page is read, I found myself trolling SK's website and finding this just doesn't end a seies, it takes it on a whole new level and Ms. Kenyon teases us with more questions as her next books are getting ready to debut. I know I am anxiously awaiting the next books and the continued chapters of a series that leaves you wanting more.
