For Anyone July 4, 2008
I think this book deserves five stars because although it delves into discussions of spirituality that are rather esoteric it is an "easy" read. Any person who is curious about the deeper aspects of life will find this book helpful whether just beginning to search for answers to life's "big" questions or having been on a life long quest like Cheryl Simone. Upon reading Sadhguru's responses to Cheryl's questions readers will definitely understand the benefit of consulting one who speaks the truth.

Like most items that bear Sadhguru's mark, this "Little Guide" has the potential to both shake things and settle things within you that you didn't realize needed shaking or settling :-) A good, little introduction to the works of a True Guru...
A Wonderful Introduction to Sadhguru's Wit and Profound Wisdom July 3, 2008
I have had the precious good fortune of participating in some of Sadhguru's yoga courses, and was unsure whether the magic of his being could be expressed in this "Little Guide to Freedom and Bliss". Thankfully, Cheryl, with the help of Sadhguru, has really been able to convey the joy, love, wisdom and magic that flows from this living master. Throughout the book, the conversations between Sadhguru and Cheryl touch on so many mysterious dimensions of our lives - from our most basic longings to the esoteric aspects of a mystic's path. With each conversation, a window opens towards a powerful appreciation of the miracle of life itself, towards a deeper understanding of who we are, and towards the possibility of a meaningful, lasting and wondrous personal and global transformation.
I hope his book opens the minds and hearts of those fortunate enough to open its pages - and helps leads others towards a path of joy and love!

In Midnights with the Mystic, Cheryl Simone shares her spiritual journey. As a young child, a classmate died which led Cheryl to ask questions about mortality. As a college student she, like many others, tried to expand her mind using LSD. While she had some intriguing experiences, she only saw death in that path. So for years, she looked for the "right" way to reach enlightenment but had little success.
As they say, when you are ready the teacher will show himself. This is what happened with Cheryl. When she finally stopped trying so hard and was willing to be still, she was handed an opportunity to speak to Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. Much of the book recalls conversations and lessons learned from this very dynamic and wise master.
Longings and Desires Answered July 3, 2008
An excellent read. I felt Sadhguru answered my deepest questions and made sense to what my longings and desires mean for my spiritual growth. I have been searching for some time and feel that someone has finally laid it all out in an easy, enjoyable way without skimping on depth or details. Am about to order his other book `Mystics Musings' and find out more about him. Apparently, he was just in L.A.
